FAQ

NO! We are not allowing people to drive up to the start line at the Chalet and park or be dropped off. Every runner in the 42k and Grand Slams MUST catch the shuttle to the Start line from the Event Village at Pioneer Park in Bright. Shuttles depart at 5:20am Sharp Sunday.
We have had many requests from some people who get car sick that they drive themselves, so we have a solution. Runners and Crew will be able to Drive and Park at Dingo Dell.
Dingo Dell will also be the Drop Off point for runners who are just getting dropped off by their crew. Runners will not be allowed to get dropped off at the Chalet. The road is closed!
Dingo Dell has a large carpark on the Mount Buffalo Tourist Rd. Crew can park here with their runners and catch a rolling shuttle to the start line. SingleTrack will provide a regular shuttle service between Dingo Dell and the Start Line at the Chalet (8 min drive) between 6:15 am and 7:00 am.
Then Crew will be able to return to their cars via a rolling shuttle between The Chalet and Dingo Dell between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM.
This option of driving and parking at Dingo Dell is open to everyone, however we highly encourage people to catch the shuttle bus.

Driving Routes to Clearspot and Dingo Ridge
Clearspot will take you at least 30 minutes from Bright or Buckland Valley. Please do NOT use Google Maps!! A good 2WD can make it but 4WD recommended. Please be careful of runners as you do cross the course in some places.
Dingo Ridge is really only for the adventurous crew. It will take you 15 mins from Buckland Valley. You need a 4WD. Be careful again of the runners and give way to them. You can continue from here to Clearspot along Dingo Ridge Rd, but it is not a smooth road.
The written directions are the best to follow over the map, which can be a bit pretentious.
CLEARSPOT DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Bright:
From Bright head South onto Bakers Gully Rd. Continue up Bakers Gully Rd passed all the houses. Eventually it will turn to dirt. Pass the turnoff to Huggins Lookout on the left and continue straight.
Take the next right that is signposted “Clear Spot 9km”.
Stay on the Main driving road. The gradient should never become too steep, if you are thinking “wow, this is a hardcore drive” then you have probably gone off the Clear Spot Rd.
Follow the Marked route. There will be signs that we will put up branded with Buffalo Stampede. Look for them and follow them. There are a couple sharp left hand turns to get to the top.
Remember, do not follow google maps, and if you think the road is too steep, you are off course.
